Product Overview

The TDS series ultrasonic flow meter is a general-purpose, economical, clamp-on transit-time ultrasonic flow meter with simple installation, enabling pipe flow measurement without cutting pipes or stopping water. It employs digital correlation and adaptive acoustic technology for stable measurement; acoustic focusing technology enhances signal reception quality during continuous measurement. Non-contact measurement, no moving parts, unaffected by system pressure and harsh environments.

Measurement Principle

When an ultrasonic beam propagates in a liquid, its propagation time varies with the liquid flow velocity. At zero flow, the transit times in both directions are equal; when liquid flows, the upstream transit time is greater than the downstream. By measuring the transit time difference ΔT = Tup − Tdown, the flow rate proportional to flow velocity can be derived.

Structure and Type

Available in fixed and portable/handheld display units; probe options include clamp-on, insertion, and spool piece types; supports RS485, 4–20mA, OCT pulse, and other outputs, and can be equipped with energy (heat) metering function.
