Wedge flow meter is a new type of throttling differential pressure flow measurement instrument, capable of high-precision measurement under high viscosity, low Reynolds number (≥500) fluid conditions. It plays an irreplaceable role in low flow velocity, small flow, and large pipe diameter applications. Mainly used for flow measurement of high-viscosity heavy oil, residual oil, diesel, oil, and various gases such as coal gas, hydrogen, nitrogen, air, steam, sewage, etc.
Measurement Principle
The measuring element adopts a special wedge throttling part. Fluid passes through without stagnation or blockage, with low pressure loss, and still achieves high-precision measurement at low Reynolds numbers. The integral structure requires no impulse piping for on-site installation.
