V-Cone Flow Meter

V-Cone flow meter is a new type of differential pressure flow meter. It suspends a cone-shaped throttling element in the center of the pipe to reshape the velocity profile, offering a wide rangeability (10:1), low straight pipe requirements (upstream 0~3D), and resistance to contamination and wear. It can measure water, steam, natural gas, and various other media.

Product Overview

The V-Cone flow meter, also known as an internal cone flow meter, is a new type of differential pressure flow meter based on the principle of energy conservation in sealed pipes. By suspending a cone-shaped throttling element in the center of the pipe, it reshapes the velocity profile, expands the flow measurement range, and avoids some limitations of traditional differential pressure flow meters. It can measure water, steam, air, natural gas, nitrogen, coke oven gas, and organic gases, with media conditions ranging from deep low temperature to supercritical states.

Measurement Principle

The cone-shaped element obstructs the flow of the medium and generates a stable differential pressure downstream, which is related to the flow rate. The unique central throttling design stabilizes the flow field, providing high signal quality and low straight pipe requirements.
