Product Overview
The precession vortex flowmeter integrates flow, temperature, and pressure detection functions, and performs automatic temperature, pressure, and compressibility factor compensation. It is an ideal instrument for metering natural gas, air, and general gases in industries such as petroleum, chemical, electric power, and metallurgy.
Measurement Principle
The flow sensor has a flow profile similar to a Venturi tube. The spiral guide vanes at the inlet force the fluid to generate a vortex. After entering the diffuser section, the vortex is affected by backflow and undergoes secondary rotation, forming a gyroscopic precession. The precession frequency is proportional to the flow rate and is unaffected by the fluid's physical properties or density. The detection element measures the precession frequency, amplifies and shapes it into a pulse signal, which is sent together with temperature and pressure signals to the microprocessor for calculation.
Structure Composition
It consists of a vortex generator (spiral blades), housing, intelligent integrator, Pt100 temperature sensor, diffusion silicon pressure sensor, piezoelectric detection probe, and de-swirler. The structure is compact and internally integrated.
