Metal tube variable area flowmeters measure flow based on float position. With all-metal construction and modular design, they feature compact size, low pressure loss, high rangeability (10:1), and easy installation/maintenance. Widely used for measuring low flow rates, low velocities, and demanding media in complex industrial environments.
Measurement Principle
Consists of a tapered tube with upward expanding bore and a float that moves freely within. As fluid flows upward, the float height indicates the flow rate. Non-contact magnetic coupling detection enables LCD display, totalization, and remote output.
