Balanced Flow Meter

Balanced Flow Meter
The Balanced Flow Meter utilizes a multi-hole balanced rectification design, offering flow performance close to that of a Venturi tube. Its accuracy is 5 to 10 times higher than traditional throttling devices, requires short straight pipe runs (0.5D to 2D), reduces permanent pressure loss by approximately 70%, and has a wide turndown ratio, making it suitable for custody transfer metering.
- Multi-hole balanced rectification reduces eddies, vibration, and signal noise for stable flow field
- Accuracy 5 to 10 times higher than traditional throttling devices, up to ±0.3%/±0.5%
- Low straight pipe requirement, as low as 0.5D to 2D
- Permanent pressure loss approximately 70% lower than traditional throttling devices, close to Venturi
- Wide turndown ratio, long-term stability
- Geometric dimension calibration possible, suitable for custody transfer metering and process control
Overview
Product Overview
The Balanced Flow Meter is a specialized differential pressure flow meter. It employs constant Reynolds number design and increases the thickness and machining accuracy of the throttling element, resulting in flow performance close to that of a Venturi tube. It achieves high-accuracy, long-term stable measurement with minimal permanent pressure loss and the shortest required straight pipe run.
Measurement Principle and Features
The multi-hole balanced structure equalizes the flow field, reducing eddies, vibration, and signal noise, significantly improving flow field stability. After actual flow calibration, accuracy can reach ±0.3% or ±0.5%, making it suitable for custody transfer metering. Pressure recovery is faster than traditional throttling devices, straight pipe runs can be as short as 0.5D to 2D, and permanent pressure loss is reduced by approximately 70% compared to traditional throttling devices.
